What is the ASVAB Test?
The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students. This may be used to fulfill the entrance test requirement for the military.
When is the ASVAB offered at West Milford High School?
ASVAB testing is offered a few times per year at WMHS. The test is coordinated by WMHS and administered by representatives from the United States Military.
How do I register to take the ASVAB at WMHS?
1. Sign up in the guidance office
Only juniors & seniors may register for the ASVAB.
Is there a fee to take the ASVAB?
There is no charge to take the ASVAB.
What grade students take the ASVAB?
The ASVAB is offered to interested juniors and seniors. Students make the choice to take the ASVAB and sign up to participate in the guidance office.
How can I sign up for the ASVAB?
When a date for the ASVAB is established, an email blast will be sent out via Naviance to all juniors, seniors, and parents of juniors/seniors. This blast will contain information about the testing date and the registration period. The sign up sheet will be posted in the guidance office.
